The Way We Work

Our approach to soil health

Our process is designed to support soil health across a wide range of sites—from managed landscapes and public land to agricultural ground and residential properties—by focusing on how soil functions over time.

Our Process

Discovery + Understanding

1.

Discovery

This step focuses on learning how the site functions and what matters most to the client. It may include:

  • Evaluation of soil structure, compaction, and drainage

  • Assessment of plant, turf, or crop health and patterns of stress

  • Review of land use, management history, and site conditions

  • Clarification of the client’s goals for their lawn, land, or operation

Application

2.

From these observations, we design soil treatments to support existing soil biology and address the most limiting factors first. Applications are tailored to conditions on the ground, whether the site is a single area or part of a larger system, rather than following a preset formula.

Monitoring + Stewardship

3.

Soil health develops over time. After applications begin, we continue to observe how the soil and plants or crops respond and adjust our recommendations as conditions change. This may include follow-up visits, seasonal support, and ongoing communication to ensure the approach remains aligned with the site and the client’s goals.

What clients can expect

A soil-first approach sets different expectations than conventional land care.

Clients often notice:

  • Better tolerance to drought, compaction, or stress across plant, turf, or forage systems

  • Soil that responds more predictably to water and environmental change

  • Improvements that build season after season rather than overnight

Because this work focuses on underlying systems, results are incremental and cumulative, building toward healthier soil and more resilient plant communities.

A process designed to scale

Our approach works across a wide range of land types — from commercial sites and working land to acreage and residential landscapes. While the details vary, the underlying process—understanding the site, enhancing soil function, and providing ongoing stewardship—remains consistent.

Working together over time

We believe soil health is something that’s cultivated and stewarded over time. Whether for landscapes, crops, or pasture, our role is to provide steady, informed support that helps soil function within its environment.

This long-term perspective results in land that’s more resilient, productive, and adaptable over seasons and years.
